CRS2 Bitumen Emulsion
Bitumen Emulsion CRS-2 is a cationic rapid-setting emulsion specially formulated for use in road construction and maintenance. It consists of fine bitumen particles dispersed in water and stabilized with cationic emulsifiers, which ensure strong adhesion to aggregates. This emulsion is ideal for applications requiring quick setting and reliable bonding, such as surface dressing, tack coats, and chip seals. Its high viscosity range and controlled particle charge provide excellent coating ability, making it suitable for enhancing pavement durability and resistance to water damage.
The CRS-2 formulation complies with rigorous ASTM standards for viscosity, storage stability, demulsibility, and residue characteristics. Tests on the residue from distillation, including penetration, ductility, and solubility, confirm its consistent performance and mechanical strength. With efficient handling properties and excellent water resistance, Bitumen Emulsion CRS-2 ensures long-lasting pavement performance, reduces maintenance needs, and offers a cost-effective solution for constructing resilient road surfaces.
