Bitumen VG40
VG-40 (Viscosity Grade 40) Bitumen is a high-performance paving grade bitumen designed for heavy-duty asphalt applications exposed to intense traffic loads and high temperature stresses. This grade is engineered to provide superior resistance against rutting, deformation, and fatigue, making it the optimal choice for regions with hot climates and for surfaces that carry heavy commercial vehicles, trucks, and industrial transport.
Compared to lower VG grades, VG-40 exhibits significantly higher viscosity and stiffness, resulting in greater durability, reduced maintenance requirements, and enhanced structural life of asphalt pavements.
